A Better Way to Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day

There’s a better way to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day than by hoisting a pint of Ireland’s finest and toasting to your friend’s Slainte (good health). Yes, a pint of smooth and creamy Irish stout is a rare thing indeed, but no, we’re not talking about green beer either.

We’re talking about tapping into the makers movement and in one afternoon, equipping you with the tools, techniques and knowledge to make your very own batch of craft-beer, an authentic Irish stout that can and will be ready to share with friends on St. Patrick’s Day.

That’s what The Brew School is all about. It’s like a paint nite, but beer is our canvas. It’s the world’s first and only crowd-sourced, nano-brewery, and it was born right here in Winnipeg.

Our next session takes place at the Irish Association of Manitoba on March 3 where we’ll be taking participants through the basics of brewing beer with all grains. We’ll cover all the technical jargon, demystifying the process, and explaining how history, geography, religion, and some happy accidents created the hundreds of styles of beer we enjoy today.

Plus, you’ll take home your very own batch of beer. Beer that you made with your own hands, not to mention all the equipment necessary to continue making small-batch beer in the comfort of your very own home.
