Violin
for a Little Girl
Violin
for a Little Girl
A
few of my friends run a musical festival every summer in Omaha.
To raise money, they asked me to paint a violin for an auction.
The violin was tiny - the size a first or second grader might use.
In fact, one directors of the festival, flutist Marcia Kamper, had
used it as a young girl. Music has such a powerful impact on emotions,
that I used this violin's history to inspire me to paint what brought
me joy as a child on one side, and what brings me joy as an adult
on the other. The violin was purchased as a gift for a charming
young girl who played the cello.
